Up side down

The moon up side down, as seen from the other side of the earth in South Africa. It was also surprizing to see Orion in an acrobatic position and Sirius shining at the zenith!

Africa

After a professional travel in South Africa I spent 2 days to discover the wonderfull nature parc of Pilanesberg.

I took there 2105 pictures, using a 600mm telelens for the animals and a common wide angle for the landscapes.

The most fantastic gift of my life. For my 50th birthday, Klári offers me(us) a wonderfull city trip to Venice. I realized a very old dream.

21 days freezing

During 21 days, the temperature never rise above 0°C. I took this picture of the channel Brussels-Scheldt in Humbeek. While this attended deep water channel still remains free of ice, people where scatting on the town canals.

Château de Brissac

Brissac, France. Aujourd'hui nous visitons le château de Brissac. Le bâtiment est peu étendu mais impressionnant par ses dimensions (7 étages). L'intérieur est un véritable régal. Nous clôturons la visite par la traversée du canal souterrain qui débouche dans la vallée de l'Aubance en contrebas.

Csárdás

Angers, France. Démonstration de csárdás (danse hongroise). Faute de costume folklorique, Klári a revêtu son plus beau pyjama.

Abondant snowfall this evening. We rush outside to take this picture intended to our greeting cards.

Escalier (Belgium)

Voici le chemin le plus court entre la citadelle et les quartiers de la vieille ville de Liège. Cet escalier s'appelle "Montagne de Bueren". Au bord de la Meuse en contre-bas se tient le dimanche le marché de la Batte, le plus long d'Europe parait-il.

Imaginez-vous remonter l'escalier les bras chargés de courses...

Gileppe (Belgium) & Aachen (Germany)

We doen deze zaterdag een boswandeling rond de Lac de la Gileppe. Mooie en rustig.

In de namiddag, ontdekken wij Aachen (Aix-la-Chapelle) in Duistland enkele kilometers verder.

Aangenaam stadtje met veel winkels en historische gebouwen.
